Late Monday evening, Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe announced he was leaving his position effective immediately, somewhat earlier than he had initially disclosed, as he was scheduled to leave sometime mid March. Although somewhat of a surprise, McCabe's departure from the FBI means different things to different people. Democrats and proponents of the Russia collusion story are taking this as a sign that DJT has his new FBI director Christopher Wray are forcing McCabe out. However big of a stink the opposition can make, a President is within his legal right to put in his team into the Department of Justice, regardless the importance of the position, as it is part of the Executive branch. That being said, it is important to note McCabe is not being fired, he is resigning from his post. What makes this newsworthy is the timing. Hours after McCabe announced he was leaving, the House Intelligence Committee voted along party lines to release an internal FBI memo which supposedly details the FBI's unwillingness to investigate Hillary Clinton's email server scandal, while simultaneously showing bias against the Trump campaign. This memo has not been made public as of yet, however there are indications it will be shortly.
Although never directly involved in the Russia collusion investigation, McCabe is seen as something of a Comey holdover and member of the "deep state" also known as the Federal bureaucracy. A member of the FBI since 1996, Andrew McCabe is married to longtime Democrat operative Jill McCabe, who unsuccessfully ran for a Virginia state legislature seat in 2015. During her campaign, Jill received donations from Terry McCaullife's Common Good VA and other Democrat affiliated PACs totaling almost $700,000. It is important to note that Terry McCaullife is a long time family friend of the Clintons, dating back to Bill's Presidency and then campaigning for Hillary in 2008 and again 2016. At the time, this information was not disclosed, and the FBI later released a statement explaining it wasn't necessary at the time.
So what, many left wing pundits and commentators will ask. After all, it is not a crime for employees within the Federal Government to have political affiliations, this is Washington D.C. we're talking about. It's not a bad point, except for the fact that the information on McCabe is in black and white, verified, and on the books, far more damning in terms of evidence of collusion "dirt" than anything Democrats have on the Trump presidency or campaign. Ask anyone on the left for evidence of Russian collusion with DJT thus far and search the results. There is no proof of money changing hands, secret meetings, back door communiques, or any other dealings typically associated with actual conspiratorial activities. Once again, take a look at any left wing outlet or talking point and they are yet again howling about obstruction of justice and investigation tampering. Or maybe, once the memo has been made public, the memo will indicate that which this publication has said since before the 2016 election; that the Federal bureaucracy or "deep state" is in fact infested with Democrat party loyalists, who have far too often shown their willingness to put party above country, or justice for that matter, in order to further their careers, beliefs, and ideological views. Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton's infamous meeting on a Phoenix tarmac may have just been the tip of the iceberg.
When government secrets are made public based on party lines, you can be sure there is something one side wants to be seen, and something one side desperately wants to keep secret. This should be interesting.
