Ok everyone, as "super exciting" as Super Tuesday was.....Barack and Hillary are still deadlocked and John "Mack is Back" McCain is still the republican front runner, so same old same old. Considering the way things are moving, I suspect we'll probably see more of the same from the Democratic ticket into the spring: Deadlock City. Besides, I have something way cooler to blog about.
We all know that significant progress is being made in Iraq. Everyone acknowledges it (except maybe someone who is a huge drain on the species of mankind, not much deduction required there), and while random spats of violence do still erupt in Iraq, the situation is undoubtedly progressing better and faster than even the most optimistic of us could have hoped. Having said that, not everyone is happy about the situation there, those people being Al Qaeda. After a recent raid, it was reported in the Times Online of London and MSNBC that multiple journals of Al Qaeda cell leaders have been captured, and their testimony speaks for itself.

". . . The Americans and the apostates launched their campaigns against us and we found ourselves in a circle not being able to move, organise or conduct our operations.”
“This created weakness and psychological defeat. This also created panic, fear and the unwillingness to fight. The morale of the fighters went down . . . There was a total collapse in the security structure of the organisation.”
“There were almost 600 fighters in our sector before the tribes changed course 360 degrees . . . Many of our fighters quit and some of them joined the deserters . . . As a result of that the number of fighters dropped down to 20 or less.”
“The morale of the fighters went down and they wanted to be transferred to administrative positions rather than be fighters. There was a total collapse in the security structure of the organisation.”
This news is absolutely out of this world terrific. Every American (and supporter of liberty everywhere) should be overjoyed to read statements like these. The enemy is quitting. Notions such as "surrender" and "retreat" are evidently very much in the vocabulary of the common jihadist. With the myth of the motivated till death insurgent being shattered, and Iraqi forces becoming better capable fighters with every passing day, momentum has now shifted heavily in favor of U.S. and coalition forces. Having seen the brutality of the enemy countless times over in the form of suicide and car bombs on civilians, it is a great sight to see that we're absolutely pummeling them while they're down.
